Armenia expands industrial ties across Eurasian Economic Union, Pashinyan says
Armenian enterprises are already actively engaged in industrial cooperation projects with member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said.
Pashinyan made the remarks during a plenary session titled “Industry 360. Production Without Borders”, held on the margins of the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM-2026 in Yekaterinburg, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
The Armenian prime minister expressed gratitude to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin for the invitation and commended the excellent organization of the event.
Pashinyan stressed that financial support for joint industrial cooperation projects plays a key role in achieving the EAEU’s integration objectives and strengthening the competitiveness of member states’ industries. He added that this is particularly important amid rapid changes in global industrial development, which is increasingly becoming knowledge-driven and reliant on artificial intelligence and data analytics technologies.
He also noted that Armenia’s industrial sector has shown steady growth in recent years. In 2025, industrial output increased by 4.7% compared to 2024, while growth reached 13% in the first four months of the current year. Over the past nine years, Armenia’s manufacturing output has doubled.
One of Armenia’s key economic priorities, Pashinyan said, is the development of knowledge-intensive industries driven by digital transformation and data-driven technologies. At the same time, the country is working to build a modern labor market and implement reforms in its vocational education system.
“Large-scale investments in recent years demonstrate the growing perception of our country as a reliable partner with a long-term strategic vision in the field of high technologies,” Pashinyan said.
Following the plenary session, bilateral talks between Pashinyan and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin began on the sidelines of the INNOPROM exhibition in Yekaterinburg.
