Russia’s Special Presidential Envoy for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Kirill Dmitriev, will join the official Russian delegation at the upcoming Russia–US summit in Alaska on August 15, sources familiar with the matter told TASS.

The summit, which will bring together Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, was confirmed following a visit by US Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff to Moscow on August 6, where he met with Putin.
The US and Russian presidents will hold a one-on-one summit on August 15, at Joint Base Elmendorf‑Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. The high-stakes meeting, dubbed the "Alaska 2025" or "Trump-Putin Summit," aims to address the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, with a focus on negotiating a potential ceasefire and broader peace deal.
The White House describes the meeting as a “listening session” and a “feel‑out meeting.”
The Alaska summit marks the first in-person meeting between Trump and Putin since 2019.
According to Trump, after his upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he plans to contact Zelenskyy to discuss the results of negotiations with NATO representatives.
