Armenian PM holds call with Iranian leader, extends invitation to Yerevan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, the Armenian government’s press service reported, according to Armenian media cited by Caliber.Az.
During the conversation, Prime Minister Pashinyan offered his condolences to President Pezeshkian over the victims of the tragic events that took place in Iran last month.
“The prime minister expressed his condolences to the Iranian president over the victims of last month's events. The parties discussed issues related to the bilateral, regional, and international agenda,” the statement read.
It was also noted that Prime Minister Pashinyan extended an invitation to President Pezeshkian to visit Armenia's capital. "The prime minister invited the president of Iran to pay an official visit to Yerevan," the government press release stated.
