Armenian PM to join mountain ecology talks in Russia’s Altai
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is scheduled to travel to Russia on July 24 for a working visit, a source within the Armenian government told Russian media.
Pashinyan is expected to participate in a conference taking place in the Altai Republic on July 24–25.
The event will focus on environmental and nature conservation issues, with particular attention to environmental protection and conservation practices in mountain regions.
Discussions will cover the preservation of vulnerable ecosystems in Altai, sustainable nature management, and regional cooperation in the ecological field.
The visit comes as Pashinyan's vacation, which began on July 18, is set to conclude on July 23.
In a related development, Armenia is preparing to host the COP-17 conference on biodiversity in October 2026.
