National Assembly Chairman Alen Simonyan has issued a congratulatory message marking the 35th anniversary of the adoption of Armenia’s Declaration of Independence.
According to Caliber.Az, citing Armenian media, Simonyan emphasised that recent developments have created new opportunities for the country, reinforcing its independence and sovereignty.
“Recent events have opened up new historical opportunities for our state, further strengthening the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia,” Simonyan stated.
“Today, more than ever before, we realise the value of our independence and sovereignty. It is peace that strengthens our independence, enables us to develop our country, and provides a decent life for our citizens.
Now we are not only independent, but also live in peace, thanks, of course, to the wise decisions of our people.
Dear compatriots, I congratulate you on the 35th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence of Armenia. May our independence and peace be eternal, ensuring a prosperous and safe life for our citizens,” he added.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also addressed the nation on the anniversary, sharing his message through a post on Facebook.
