Associate of Russian-Armenian businessman Karapetyan detained in Armenia

Alik Aleksanyan, a close associate of Russian-Armenian businessman Samvel Karapetyan, has been arrested and placed in pre-trial detention for two months.

Aleksanyan is accused of money laundering on an especially large scale and voter bribery, according to previous reports on the case, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media. 

A court ordered his detention pending further investigation, though authorities have not publicly disclosed additional details regarding the allegations or the evidence supporting the charges.
