ASTRA: Fire broke out at key oil transit hub in Russia’s Vladimir region PHOTO

10 June 2026 12:35

A fire has broken out at the Vtorovo oil pumping station in Russia's Vladimir Region, said an open-source intelligence (OSINT) analysis published by ASTRA.

The analysis says smoke was observed rising from the facility, located in the Kameshkovsky District near the city of Vladimir. An ASTRA OSINT analyst identified the site using photographs taken by eyewitnesses and shared by the Telegram channel Exilenova+.

The fire was also detected by NASA's FIRMS satellite-based thermal anomaly monitoring system, the report said.

Earlier, Vladimir Region Governor Alexander Avdeyev stated that fires had erupted at two infrastructure facilities in the Kameshkovsky and Alexandrovsky districts following drone attacks. However, Russia's Defence Ministry did not mention Vladimir Region in its overnight report on intercepted drones.

The Vtorovo oil pumping station was previously targeted on May 24. Prior to that, the facility reportedly came under attack in September 2025.

Meanwhile, the Telegram channel Supernova+ later reported damage at the Lobkovo oil pumping station.

Both the Vtorovo and Lobkovo pumping stations are operated by Transneft–Upper Volga and are part of the network responsible for transporting crude oil and petroleum products toward Moscow and northwestern Russia.
