ASTRA: Drone attack sparks fire at Ozon logistics complex in Russia’s Samara PHOTO
A fire broke out at an Ozon logistics complex in Chapaevsk, Samara Region, following an overnight drone attack, according to an OSINT analysis by ASTRA.
The Samara Region authorities declared a drone alert on the night of August 22, while eyewitnesses reported hearing air defence systems and shared footage showing a large fire.

An ASTRA OSINT analyst, examining photographs taken by eyewitnesses, identified the site as the Ozon distribution complex at 3 Industrialnaya Street in Chapaevsk Industrial Park. The scale of the damage visible in the images suggests the facility was likely struck by a drone rather than a missile.
Samara Region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said two facilities were damaged in the overnight attack, including the Ozon logistics complex. He added that several people had been injured and were receiving medical assistance.
Two defence-related enterprises, PromSintez JSC and Polymer JSC, are located about one kilometre from the Ozon complex. PromSintez produces industrial explosives, including TNT and ammonite, as well as nitrobenzene, while Polymer manufactures weapons, ammunition and explosives for defence purposes.
Both enterprises have previously been targeted in Ukrainian missile and drone attacks.
