ASTRA: Drone debris hit residential construction site, injures two in Russia's Ufa
Two drones crashed into a residential building under construction in the Zaton neighbourhood of Russia's Ufa, leaving two construction workers with minor injuries, regional authorities said.
According to Radiy Khabirov, the incident occurred during what he described as another unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack targeting the region of Bashkortostan. He stated that air defences had shot down drones near oil refineries in the city, but two of them fell onto the construction site in the Zaton area, ASTRA reports
Khabirov said the impact caused insulation materials at the site to catch fire. Emergency crews from Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations responded quickly and extinguished the blaze. The two injured workers did not require hospitalisation.
Footage from surveillance cameras circulating on local channels appears to show two separate impacts, the first at approximately 9:17 a.m. local time and the second about five minutes later.
