ASTRA: First satellite image shows fire at struck oil terminal in St. Petersburg
Radio Liberty has published the first satellite image showing a fire at an oil terminal in St. Petersburg that was reportedly struck, according to ASTRA.
Citing Governor Alexander Beglov, it said four people were injured in the attack.
Earlier, it stated that a fire broke out at the largest oil transshipment complex in northwestern Russia — the St. Petersburg Oil Terminal JSC — following an alleged drone attack.
Smoke was visible from different parts of the city, including from the Expo Centre, where the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) opened the same day.
ASTRA also reported that the Kronstadt Marine Plant JSC, which services Russian Navy ships and submarines, was targeted in Kronstadt. Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) said the Russian Navy corvette Boykiy was hit in Kronstadt.
Russian federal television channels did not report on the attack in their morning news broadcasts.
