ASTRA: Strategic oil terminal damaged in Russia’s Novorossiysk PHOTO / VIDEO
Overnight attacks from Ukraine damaged the Sheskharis oil terminal and a residential building in Novorossiysk, Russia, Telegram channel ASTRA reports.
Eight people were injured, including two children. Residents reported a series of explosions on the night of April 6.
According to ASTRA, the strikes hit the Sheskharis transhipment complex and an apartment building at 12 Pionerskaya Street.
The governor confirmed that among the injured were two children and one adult living in a private home, as well as three residents of the apartment building. Two others were injured on the road between Kabardinka village and Novorossiysk. All victims were hospitalised. Six apartment buildings and two private houses were damaged, and drone debris was found at several industrial sites.
The Sheskharis oil terminal is a major maritime complex for receiving, storing, and loading oil and petroleum products onto tankers. It is one of Russia’s largest strategic oil terminals, supporting the operations of the Novorossiysk seaport and the southern export infrastructure.
