Azerbaijan accelerates defence cooperation with key partners at IDEF-2025 PHOTO
During the IDEF-2025 International Defence Industry Exhibition underway in Istanbul, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence Industry, Vugar Mustafayev, held a series of high-level meetings with counterparts from Türkiye and other participating nations.
According to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence Industry, Mustafayev met with Turkish Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler, Caliber.Az reports.
Both ministers highlighted that IDEF-2025 provides a valuable platform to explore cutting-edge developments in the global defence sector. They noted that defence industry cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye has reached a strategic level and exchanged views on expanding bilateral ties.
Mustafayev also held discussions with Kazakhstan’s Minister of Industry and Construction, Yersayin Nagaspayev, and Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Defence, Hoang Xuan Thien. Talks focused on strengthening defence-related collaboration with both countries.
As part of the exhibition, Minister Mustafayev formally presented a special license to Aselsan CEO Ahmet Akyol for the launch of Aselsan Baku, marking a significant step in Azerbaijani-Turkish defence industrial integration.
IDEF-2025 runs through July 27 in Istanbul, showcasing defence innovations and providing a forum for international military-industrial cooperation.
