Azerbaijan completes construction of road bypassing Lachin PHOTO/VIDEO
Azerbaijan has completed the construction of a road bypassing the city of Lachin, which is one of the road infrastructure projects implemented on the president's instruction in the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions.
The head of the press service of the State Agency of Highways of Azerbaijan Anar Najafli said that the construction of the highway, the total length of which is 32 kilometres (of which 10 run through the territory of Armenia), had been completed, according to Caliber.Az reports.
In accordance with the "Building Codes and Regulations", asphalt concrete pavement was laid, horizontal road markings were applied, and road signs and protective fences were installed.
A four-arch bridge with a length of 149.5 metres and a width of 13.5 metres was built on the 22nd kilometre of the road.
The construction of a new highway bypassing the city of Lachin with a length of 32 kilometres began in July 2021. The width of the carriageway (three-lane on overpasses and two-lane on other sections of the road) is 7 - 10.5 meters, and the roadway as a whole is 12-15 metres.
