Azerbaijan completes inventory of 25 more cultural monuments in liberated lands Photo
Azerbaijan has completed an inventory of another 25 immovable historical, architectural, and cultural monuments located in liberated territories, according to Fariz Huseynli, head of the press service of the State Service for the Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture.
The newly documented sites are situated in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts, Huseynli told Caliber.Az.

Sixteen of the monuments are archaeological in nature, while nine are architectural. As part of the inventory process, an electronic map was created, photographs and drone footage were collected, and relevant archival records were reviewed.
With this latest effort, Azerbaijan has now inventoried a total of 575 cultural monuments in the liberated territories. Additionally, monitoring teams have identified 402 previously undocumented sites of historical, architectural, and archaeological significance. These have been formally registered as newly discovered monuments.
Authorities report that 130 architectural monuments have yet to be inventoried because mine contamination continues to make access unsafe.
During the inventory, it was established that many monuments were vandalised during the Armenian occupation and were used as barns. Some 68 monuments were completely destroyed, 114 were partially destroyed, and many others suffered varying degrees of damage. The total estimated loss amounts to 700.154 million manats ($411,855 million).
