21 January 2024 12:45

Azerbaijan is constructing a new kindergarten in Georgia.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev and mayor of Georgia’s Sagarejo district Avtandil Gulikashvili viewed the ongoing work in the new kindergarten in Yor Muganli village (Garachop) in Georgia, according to Azertac.

The kindergarten is being built at the expense of the Georgian representative office of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) upon the Azerbaijani president’s decision.

Construction of a kindergarten for 150 children was launched in April 2023. All the conditions for training, education, recreation and entertainment of children have been created. Currently, finishing work is being carried out in the kindergarten. Construction work is expected to be completed in the coming months.

The ambassador and the mayor viewed the kindergarten building, the ongoing work and gave the necessary instructions and recommendations.

Guliyev noted that Azerbaijan always pays attention and care to our compatriots living in Georgia.

Until now, several schools, cultural institutions, sports complexes, and kindergartens have been built and put into operation in Georgia through Azerbaijan’s support. Dozens of social facilities have been overhauled. The diplomat noted that such activity will continue in the future.

Gulikashvili expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan and the ambassador for their assistance in the construction of the kindergarten.

“Social projects which are implemented in Georgia through Azerbaijan’s support are a vivid example of our friendship and brotherhood,” he noted.
