Azerbaijan implementing Zangezur Corridor project at robust pace Statement by the Turkish minister
Azerbaijan is continuing work on the implementation of the Zangezur corridor project at a rapid pace.
Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu said, Report informs.
“We are committed to implementing the Zangezur Corridor project to increase commercial potential in the east-west direction. Azerbaijan is implementing the necessary work on its part at a rapid pace. Work is also being carried out in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. We also plan to start work between Dilucu, Igdir and Kars at the end of this year or early next year,” he elaborated.
The minister noted that the corridor will pass either through Armenia or Iran.
Uraloglu previously stated that he considers the implementation of the Zangezur Corridor project, which will provide direct rail and road transport between Turkey and Azerbaijan, an important step for all countries participating in the Middle Corridor.
