Azerbaijan invites Syrian interim foreign minister to strengthen bilateral ties
Yalchin Rafiyev, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, has extended an official invitation to Asaad Hassan Al-Shibani, the newly appointed Foreign Minister of the interim government of Syria, to visit Azerbaijan.
The invitation was issued during Rafiyev's ongoing visit to Syria, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
The invitation was warmly accepted by Minister Al-Shibani, who expressed his gratitude for the gesture and his enthusiasm for the opportunity to engage with Azerbaijani officials in Syria on a more regular basis.
Al-Shibani emphasized the importance of fostering closer relations and collaboration between the two governments moving forward.
A delegation led by Yalchin Rafiyev, arrived in Syria for a pivotal visit aimed at fostering diplomatic relations and supporting Syria’s reconstruction efforts.
During his meeting with Asaad Hasan Al-Shibani, Deputy Minister Rafiyev conveyed the Azerbaijani leadership’s congratulations to Syria on entering a new phase of stability and inclusive governance. Highlighting Azerbaijan's solidarity, he reaffirmed his country’s readiness to assist Syria in rebuilding infrastructure and restoring socio-economic stability.
