Baku, Kyiv discuss strengthening strategic partnership
Azerbaijan and Ukraine have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening strategic ties in a meeting on January 14.
Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, met with Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev, Caliber.Az reports.
According to the ambassador’s post on Facebook, the discussions reviewed the outcomes of 2025 and explored avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation in 2026.
“We had a productive meeting with the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev. We discussed the results of 2025 and ways to further strengthen our strategic partnership in 2026. We are grateful to Azerbaijan for its continued support of Ukraine. Together, we are reinforcing cooperation based on mutual support, respect, and trust,” Husyev wrote.
