Pakistan eyes tourism growth in Azerbaijan with ASAN Visa program PHOTO
Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has highlighted the role of Azerbaijan’s ASAN Visa program in boosting tourism between the two countries, while announcing plans to expand ASAN public service centres across Pakistan. The remarks came during a meeting with an Azerbaijani delegation led by Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations.

During the meeting, Sharif expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for supporting the establishment of the first ASAN centre in Pakistan. He announced plans to open additional ASAN centres in Islamabad and across several provinces in the near future, Caliber.Az reports, citing the agency.
The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of the ASAN Visa program in facilitating increased tourist flow from Pakistan to Azerbaijan and expressed a keen interest in adopting Azerbaijan’s experience and best practices in this domain.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov also attended the meeting, underscoring the strong diplomatic and cultural ties between the two countries.
