ANAMA updates EU delegation on Azerbaijan’s mine clearance efforts PHOTO

The European External Action Service (EEAS) delegation has been briefed on the scale of Azerbaijan’s landmine problem and ongoing clearance efforts, the Azerbaijani National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) said.

Samir Poladov, Deputy Chairman of ANAMA, met with the EEAS delegation to provide detailed information on the country’s mine contamination and the measures being taken to address it. 

The meeting also included discussions on European support for Azerbaijan’s mine risk reduction initiatives, new cooperation projects, and other matters of mutual interest.

Marijana Kujundžić, Head of the European Union Delegation to Azerbaijan, attended the session.
