Azerbaijan, EU officials review bilateral, regional cooperation PHOTO
On January 15, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with Magdalena Grono, the European Union’s Special Representative for the South Caucasus, to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional issues.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry stated on X that the meeting centred on the current state and future outlook of Azerbaijan-EU relations, the ongoing process of normalising ties with Armenia, and wider regional and international developments
The officials reviewed cooperation in political, economic, and transport sectors, as well as energy security and other areas. They also discussed progress on specific partnership initiatives and forthcoming steps to advance joint agendas.
Bayramov briefed Grono on developments and prospects in the normalisation process with Armenia, outlining Baku’s position on peaceful resolution. Both sides welcomed efforts by Azerbaijan and Yerevan to build trust, and exchanged views on other bilateral and regional matters of mutual interest.
