Azerbaijan marks second anniversary of Armenian terror attack in Barda District
Two years have passed since the day when the Armenian Armed Forces fired missiles at Azerbaijan's Barda District. It was another Armenian terrorist act during the Patriotic War, which targeted civilians.
On October 27, 2020, the enemy fired Smerch missiles at Barda District's Garayusifli village, located far from the combat zone.
As a result, civilians Jafarova Ofelia, Ahmadova Aybaniz, Ismayilov Ehtiram and Iskandarova Aysu, born in 2013, were killed and 13 people were injured.
The missile attack completely destroyed several residential buildings and inflicted significant damage on residents.
It should be noted that Barda District and the city centre came under missile and heavy artillery attacks by the Armenian Armed Forces three times (October 5, 27 and 28). As a result, 29 people were killed, 112 were injured, and serious damage was caused to civilian infrastructure and vehicles.
The Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office initiated a criminal case under Criminal Code Articles 120.2.1, 120.2.4, 120.2.12, 100.2 and some others.
