Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan agree to hold joint diaspora meetings
Representatives from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan have reached an agreement to organise joint meetings of their respective diasporas.
State Committee for Work with Diaspora told domestic media that Fuad Muradov, the committee’s chairman, participated in the seventh session of heads of state bodies responsible for diaspora affairs from the Turkic States Organisation, held in Budapest.
During the event, Muradov held meetings with Daniyar Kadyrov, President of Kazakhstan’s “Otandastar” Foundation, and Kahraman Sariev, Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Committee on Interethnic Relations and Affairs of Compatriots Abroad.
The discussions focused on opportunities for coordinated activities among the diasporas of the three countries.
Following the negotiations, the parties positively assessed the progress in diaspora cooperation and agreed to organise joint meetings involving representatives of the Azerbaijani, Uzbek, and Kazakh diasporas.
