Azerbaijan, Mauritania explore future collaboration in science, education
Deputy Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan Hasan Hasanli, met with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to Azerbaijan, Sid Ahmed al-Bekaye Hamadi.
The meeting focused on the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the fields of science and education, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Meanwhile, on December 3, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan received the credentials of Sid Ahmed El Bekaye Hamadi, the newly appointed Ambassador of Mauritania.
During their meeting, President Aliyev praised the longstanding friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Mauritania, emphasizing their cooperation within international organizations, especially the United Nations.
He called for deeper bilateral ties, particularly in politics, trade, and economic relations. Ambassador Hamadi conveyed greetings from Mauritania’s President, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and expressed his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
He also congratulated Azerbaijan on hosting COP29 and commended its achievements under President Aliyev’s leadership.
To recap, on November 12, the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould El-Sheikh El-Ghazouani, visited Azerbaijan to take part in the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
