Azerbaijan opens Cultural Centre in Khankendi after major renovation PHOTO
A Cultural Centre built in the 1960s–1970s has been reopened in Khankendi following extensive reconstruction work, according to Report.
The building had reportedly deteriorated over years of use, with structural damage including cracks and deformations identified in its load-bearing elements.
Following renovation, the facility has been equipped to host a wide range of cultural and public events, including film screenings, stage performances, workshops, administrative activities, and tourism services.
The three-storey building now includes an assembly hall, cinema hall, multifunctional workshop spaces, dressing rooms, a café, ticket office, and a souvenir shop. Its main hall has a capacity of 348 spectators and is intended for concerts, theatrical productions, screenings, presentations, and official events.
Officials say the renovated centre is expected to become a key cultural venue in Khankendi, supporting the expansion of creative and public life in the city.
