Azerbaijan participating in key security discussions at NATO Parliamentary Assembly
Azerbaijan is actively participating in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s spring session, joining delegations from across the alliance and its partner countries to engage in crucial discussions on security challenges, regional cooperation, and strengthening defence partnerships.
“Distinguished Members of the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to NATO attending the 2025 NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA) Spring Session held in Dayton, USA,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the message of the Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to NATO on X.
Delegations from 32 NATO member states, as well as NATO partners, are participating in the session. Azerbaijan is represented by a delegation from the Azerbaijani parliament and its mission to NATO. The event includes discussions marking the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement, alongside key security challenges facing NATO.
Topics on the agenda include strengthening the alliance’s defence capabilities, increasing defence spending, deterrence policies, combating global terrorism, threats in the Black Sea region, prospects for partnership with the Indo-Pacific region, the Russia-Ukraine war, and etc.
