Azerbaijan, Poland maintain regular, expanding political dialogue, officials say
Political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Poland is showing steady and sustainable development, with regular contacts covering a wide range of areas of cooperation, Fariz Rzayev, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister, has stated.
At an event marking the 235th anniversary of Poland’s Constitution, he said exchanges in education, culture and science play an important role in strengthening mutual understanding between the peoples, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
“The large number of Azerbaijani students studying in Poland is a clear illustration of this cooperation,” he noted.
Rzayev welcomed the parliamentary friendship group Poland–Azerbaijan.
“A meeting of the intergovernmental commission was held, as well as a round of consular consultations. Recently, there was also a phone conversation between the foreign ministers of the two countries. All this confirms the consistent and purposeful development of our cooperation,” he pointed out.
The deputy FM expressed confidence that, through joint efforts, friendly and partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Poland will continue to strengthen and expand for the benefit of both countries and peoples.
Separately, Poland’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Pawel Radomski said Poland attaches great importance to its relations with Azerbaijan.

He said Poland intends to further strengthen ties with Azerbaijan in both economic and political areas.
“For many years, our countries have built constructive cooperation based on mutual respect, dialogue and shared interests. We intend to further strengthen bilateral ties in political, economic and other spheres,” he emphasised.
According to him, as a member of the European Union, Poland welcomes the growing dynamics of EU–Azerbaijan cooperation.
“This is facilitated, in particular, by numerous high-level visits recently held in Baku, including today’s visit of European Commission Vice-President Kaja Kallas,” he stressed.
The diplomat also noted that Warsaw highly values progress in the normalisation process between Baku and Yerevan.
“We sincerely hope that these efforts will soon lead to the signing of a comprehensive peace agreement that will ensure long-term stability across the entire South Caucasus. Against the backdrop of instability in neighbouring regions, we also welcome Azerbaijan’s balanced and peaceful approach as a key foundation for ensuring a stable and prosperous future for this strategically important region,” Radomski added.
