Azerbaijan, Qatar explore new military cooperation opportunities during ADEX 2024

On September 25, Azerbaijan's Defence Minister, Col. Gen. Zakir Hasanov, held a meeting with Abdullah Hassan Al-Khater, CEO of Qatar's defence and security firm Barzan Holdings, during Al-Khater's visit to Azerbaijan for the 5th anniversary of the Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition (ADEX).

The discussions focused on exploring new prospects and opportunities for military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Qatar, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.

A broad exchange of views took place on various issues of mutual interest, emphasising the commitment of both nations to strengthen their defence ties.

Notably, the 5th Anniversary of the Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition ADEX, along with being the largest event in the region dedicated to the defence industry, showcases the strength and power of the country's military and industrial complex.

More than 218 companies from around 40 countries of the world are involved in this year's exhibition.
