Baku becomes hub of Turkic unity as NGOs convene for major solidarity forum PHOTO
Baku has become the gathering point for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which convened in the Azerbaijani capital for a major solidarity forum.
The Solidarity Forum of NGOs from the Organization of Turkic States Member Countries has brought together more than 500 civil society representatives from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Hungary, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The forum’s program for today features two panel discussions.
The first, titled “The Zangazur Corridor: A Bridge Connecting the Turkic Geography,” will focus on preparations for the new geopolitical and logistical realities expected after the opening of the Zangazur Corridor. Participants will also explore civil society initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation across the Turkic world.
The second panel will center on “The First Cooperation Forum of Azerbaijani and Kazakh NGOs,” highlighting prospects for deeper collaboration between civil society institutions of the two countries.
The forum will continue tomorrow in the city of Nakhchivan, where delegates will proceed with further discussions.
A joint statement is anticipated to be formally endorsed upon the forum’s conclusion.
