Azerbaijan, Romania explore cooperation between prosecution authorities PHOTO
Azerbaijan and Romania are stepping up cooperation between their prosecution services, as Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General, Kamran Aliyev, met his Romanian counterpart, Alex Florenta, during an official visit to Bucharest.
Aliyev extended an invitation to Florenta to visit Azerbaijan, signalling a push for closer legal and strategic collaboration, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
During the talks, the officials discussed the development of friendly and strategic relations between the two countries, collaboration between their prosecution bodies, broader legal cooperation, and other matters of mutual interest.
Aliyev also highlighted reforms being implemented in Azerbaijan’s prosecution service under President Ilham Aliyev’s wider legal reform programme and emphasised the importance of international cooperation in combating crime.
He described the visit as marking a new chapter in the partnership between the prosecution authorities of both nations.
The meeting was also attended by Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Romania, Gudsi Osmanov.
