Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia deepen ties in justice sector
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Justice, Farid Ahmadov, represented the country at the Second International Judicial Conference held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
During the conference, Minister Ahmadov held a bilateral meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Justice, Walid bin Mohammed Al-Samaan, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Justice told Caliber.Az.
Both officials praised the ongoing development of friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries across all sectors, including law and justice. They emphasized the significance of expanding mutual visits and sharing expertise to further enhance bilateral cooperation.
As part of the discussions, a program document on cooperation was signed to strengthen the institutional foundations of collaboration in the field of justice. The program outlines joint activities, including meetings between registration, notarial, and other justice-related bodies, exchange of best practices, organization of joint events between educational institutions, and other areas of cooperation.
The Riyadh conference convened government officials, representatives of international organizations, experts, and scholars from over 40 countries. Key topics included digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence in justice systems, modern legislative approaches, and the improvement of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, among other issues.
