Oman plans to open embassy in Baku
The Sultanate of Oman plans to open an embassy in Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku, signalling a deepening of diplomatic relations.
Oman’s non-resident ambassador to Azerbaijan and Türkiye, Saif Rashid Al-Jahwari, made the announcement in an interview with Report during an official reception in Ankara on the occasion of Oman’s National Day.
“Our relations with Azerbaijan are developing at a high level across all sectors within the framework of international organizations,” Al-Jawari said, highlighting the growing cooperation between the two countries.
He also noted that the recent appointment of a new Azerbaijani ambassador to Oman reflects the strengthening of political ties.
Last month, the administrative building of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Oman was inaugurated during the official visit of Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, further cementing bilateral relations.
