Azerbaijan’s ecology minister, UN representative focus on COP29 preparations

Mukhtar Babayev, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, has met with Gwi Yeop Son, Regional Director of the UN Development Coordination Office (UNDCO) for Europe and Central Asia.

The meeting focused on the preparations for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change which is set to take place in Azerbaijan this year, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources told Caliber.Az.

During the discussions, Babayev and Son exchanged views on various aspects of the upcoming conference, highlighting the importance of international cooperation in addressing climate change.
