Azerbaijan’s economy minister invites Uzbek entrepreneurs to attend COP29

In his opening remarks at the 2nd Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Interregional Forum, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has invited Uzbek entrepreneurs to participate in COP29.

"In November, as you know, Baku will host the plenary session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP29. Presidents and representatives of business circles will take part in this major event. I invite Uzbek companies to participate in COP29," Jabbarov said, Report informs.

The minister added that the partnership with Uzbekistan is multilateral in nature and covers a variety of economic spheres.

"There has been significant progress in traditional areas such as cotton and silk farming. Work is underway in Imishli district to create a joint cotton cluster," Jabbarov noted.
