Azerbaijan's key role in Eurasian Transport Route hailed

Ufuk Yalçın, Director General and Chairman of the Board of TCDD Taşımacılık A.Ş., emphasized Azerbaijan's crucial position in the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) project and its leading role in the development of the Eurasian Transport Route.

In an interview with local media, he detailed Azerbaijan's strategic importance in enhancing cargo transportation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports.

Yalçın noted that this transport corridor not only connects Türkiye and Azerbaijan but also extends access to Europe via Georgia. He highlighted that Azerbaijan's involvement goes beyond its contributions to the BTC (Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan) pipeline, asserting that the collaboration between the countries will significantly improve cargo transportation capabilities.

“This corridor is essential for achieving our goals in the field of cargo transportation with Azerbaijan,” Yalçın stated, underlining the importance of regional cooperation in optimizing transport routes and enhancing connectivity.
