Azerbaijan–Russia trade volume rises by over 16% in first half of 2025
The volume of mutual trade between Azerbaijan and Russia reached $2.52 billion in the first half of 2025, marking a 16.2% increase compared to the same period last year, according to data released by the State Customs Committee.
Official statistics show that Azerbaijani exports to Russia rose by 6.1% year-on-year, totaling $590.5 million. Exports accounted for 4.59% of Azerbaijan’s total trade volume during the January–June period, up from 4.31% in the first half of 2024, Caliber.Az reports.
Imports from Russia saw a sharper rise, increasing by 19.8% to reach nearly $1.93 billion. Despite the growth, imports made up a slightly smaller share of the total trade volume—16.75%, compared to 18.17% during the same period last year.
