Azerbaijani, Uzbek bankers boost financial know-how in joint workshop
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has hosted a two-day seminar in Tashkent with representatives from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, focusing on the exchange of expertise in accounting, financial reporting, and economic management.
The collaborative event brought together central banking professionals from both countries to share best practices and address technical challenges in key financial sectors, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Core topics included budget planning and management in central banking, development and implementation of accounting policies, securities accounting, and financial oversight of state-controlled enterprises.
Additionally, discussions covered internal accounting control mechanisms, financial operations, and strategies for managing international reserves—an area of increasing importance amid shifting global economic conditions.
The seminar also explored international best practices and examined the hurdles encountered in adapting such frameworks to local contexts. Participants exchanged insights on how evolving global standards can be integrated effectively into national financial systems.
At the conclusion of the seminar, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation. A joint pledge was made to support ongoing professional development and enhance the technical expertise of staff working in financial governance and central banking disciplines.
