Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports approach $2 billion in first half of 2025
Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports reached $1.8 billion in the first half of 2025, marking a 9.9 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
According to the July edition of the “Exports Review” published by the Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), food exports rose by 19.1 per cent, totalling $564.7 million, Caliber.Az reports.
Among the standout performers were sugar exports, which surged by $7.4 million or 54.4 per cent, and chemical industry products, which climbed by $48.7 million or 38.7 per cent.
Exports of fruit and vegetables increased by $81.2 million or 24.3 per cent, while cotton yarn rose by $1.8 million or 16.6 per cent. Ferrous metals and related products saw a gain of $5.1 million or 12.5 per cent. Tea exports edged up by $62,500 or 2 per cent, and aluminium and aluminium products grew by $666,800 or 0.7 per cent.
Agricultural exports totalled $455.2 million—up 21.9 per cent—while agro-industrial exports reached $145 million, a 7.7 per cent increase. Overall, combined exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products amounted to $600.3 million, rising by 18.2 per cent year-on-year.
Tomatoes topped the list of non-oil export products with $149 million in sales, followed by gold at $144 million and cotton at $98.6 million.
