Azerbaijan has extended an invitation to Israel to participate in the upcoming World Urban Forum, set to take place in the Azerbaijani capital in 2026.
The announcement was made by Anar Guliyev, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, in a post on his official Facebook page Caliber.Az reports.
Guliyev said he held “sincere and constructive” talks with Yehuda Morgenstern, Director-General of Israel’s Ministry of Housing and Construction.
“We had a productive exchange with Mr Yehuda Morgenstern, Director General of the Ministry of Construction and Housing of the State of Israel, sharing experiences on urban renewal, construction sector regulations, and the implementation of affordable housing programmes. I was pleased to extend an invitation to our Israeli colleagues to participate in the 13th World Urban Forum in Baku in 2026,” he wrote.
The World Urban Forum is a major global platform focused on sustainable urbanisation and city planning.
