The Azerbaijan Tourism Board’s representative office in Russia organised two specialised seminars in Moscow for members of the Russian tourism industry, highlighting Azerbaijan’s opportunities in business events (MICE) and winter tourism.
According to AZERTAC, the first seminar focused on MICE tourism and was held in cooperation with Absheron Hotel Group. The event brought together representatives of 11 leading Russian companies specialising in the organisation of business events.
Participants were introduced to Azerbaijan’s year-round tourism opportunities and the country’s modern infrastructure for hosting corporate meetings, conferences and other business events. Particular attention was given to Azerbaijan’s growing appeal as a MICE tourism destination.
The seminar concluded with a networking dinner featuring traditional Azerbaijani cuisine and a tasting of Azerbaijani wines.
The second seminar, organised jointly with Russian tour operator Jet Travel, which specialises in ski holidays, focused on Azerbaijan’s winter tourism potential. Representatives of 12 Russian travel agencies attended the event.
Guests received detailed information about Azerbaijan’s winter tourism infrastructure, diverse travel products and rich cultural heritage. As part of the programme, participants were also treated to a traditional Azerbaijani breakfast, offering an introduction to the country’s culinary traditions.
The events marked another step in promoting Azerbaijan’s tourism potential on the Russian market and expanding cooperation with representatives of the travel industry.
