Azerbaijan's oil exports to Tunisia jump 2.4-fold in H1 2026

Azerbaijan significantly increased crude oil shipments to Tunisia during the first six months of 2026, with export volumes rising 2.4-fold compared with the same period a year earlier, according to the State Customs Committee.

Between January and June, Azerbaijan exported 307,167 tons of crude oil to Tunisia, with the shipments valued at more than $187.6 million, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Compared with the first half of 2025, the volume of exports increased by 2.4 times, while their value climbed 2.8 times.

Tunisia accounted for 3% of Azerbaijan's total crude oil exports during the reporting period.

According to customs data, Azerbaijan exported around 10.125 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous rocks in the first half of 2026, generating more than $6.231 billion in revenue.

Overall, the country's foreign trade turnover reached $24.661 billion between January and June, marking a 1.1% increase from the same period last year. Exports totalled $16.320 billion, up 26.7% year-on-year, while imports fell 27.6% to $8.341 billion.
