Azerbaijan, Slovakia join forces against digital fraud PHOTO
Azerbaijan and Slovakia have explored opportunities to deepen cooperation in financial sector regulation, with a particular focus on strengthening mechanisms to combat digital fraud and enhance consumer protection.
The discussions took place during a meeting between Taleh Kazimov, Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, and a delegation led by Peter Kažimír, Governor of the National Bank of Slovakia, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Sharing details of the meeting in a post on X, Kazimov highlighted the broad scope of potential cooperation between the two institutions.
"We had a productive meeting with a delegation led by the Governor of the National Bank of Slovakia, Peter Kažimír, during their visit to Baku. At the meeting, we highlighted the significant potential for cooperation in the regulation of capital markets and the insurance sector, the modernization of supervisory frameworks, safeguarding financial stability, enhancing financial literacy, combating digital fraud, and strengthening consumer protection. Additionally, we exchanged views on initiatives aimed at further strengthening institutional ties and expanding bilateral cooperation between organizations," Kazimov wrote.
