Azerbaijan, Czech Republic discuss cooperation in agriculture, energy Updated
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with Petr Cingr, deputy chairman of the board of directors of Czech agro-industrial group Agrofert, to discuss opportunities for expanding cooperation between businesses.
According to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy, the talks focused on strengthening business ties in line with the prospects for developing trade and economic relations between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic, Caliber.Az reports.
Jabbarov provided information on Azerbaijan’s business and investment environment, reforms aimed at developing the non-oil and gas sector, and state support mechanisms for entrepreneurship.
The sides also discussed potential cooperation with Agrofert in the agricultural, chemical and energy sectors, as well as opportunities to jointly implement investment projects.

The sides discussed the development of business ties between the two countries, Azerbaijan’s investment potential and opportunities for joint activities, according to the minister.
They also explored potential cooperation in the agro-industrial complex, chemical industry and energy sector, Jabbarov added.
