25 July 2026 17:49

Azerbaijani crude oil exports to Croatia experienced a steep decline during the first six months of 2026, dropping by more than 60 per cent year-on-year in both volume and monetary value, according to official data released by the State Customs Committee.

Figures published by news agency Report show that Azerbaijan delivered 276,343 metric tons of crude oil to Croatia between January and June 2026, generating $162.7 million in revenue.

This represents a 63 per cent plunge in volume and a 60.2 per cent decrease in financial value compared to the identical period in 2025.

Following the sharp contraction in shipments, Croatia accounted for 2.7 per cent of Azerbaijan’s total crude oil export volume during the first half of the year.

Over the same six-month period, Azerbaijan’s overall global exports of crude oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous minerals reached 10,125,467.17 metric tons, yielding a total export value of $6.231 billion.
