Azerbaijan produces over 25 bcm of natural gas in first half of 2026

Azerbaijan produced 25.18 billion cubic metres (bcm) of natural gas in the first six months of 2026, up 0.8% from the same period a year earlier, the State Statistics Committee said on July 21.

Thus, total gas production reached 25.1797 bcm between January and June, while marketable gas output increased 1.1% year on year to 19.5514 bcm, Caliber.Az reports, citing the committee.

Natural gas production in June alone rose 4.1% from a year earlier to 4.2445 bcm.

The South Caucasus producer has been seeking to expand gas supplies to Europe as the European Union looks to diversify its energy imports.

In 2025, Azerbaijan produced 50.9158 bcm of natural gas, up 1% from the previous year, according to official data.
