Azerbaijan's role in Europe's energy security highlighted at Slovenia
An Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev paid a working visit to Slovenia from August 31 to September 3 to attend Bled Strategic Forum.
During the event, Rzayev addressed a panel focused on the global economy, where he underscored Azerbaijan's significant role in European energy security, the ministry told Caliber.Az.
He highlighted the country's large-scale energy projects and its contributions to the development and operation of international transport corridors. Rzayev emphasized the strategic importance of Azerbaijan's efforts in fostering a stable, prosperous, and developed South Caucasus region.
As part of the visit, Rzayev met with Slovenian State Secretary for European affairs Marko Stucin. The two officials discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovenia, focusing on deepening political dialogue and expanding economic relations.
Rzayev also briefed Stucin on the current regional situation, including the post-conflict normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and expressed concerns about Armenia's non-constructive stance in these efforts.
