Azerbaijan seeking swift peace treaty with Armenia – top Russian media man
Azerbaijan is making every effort to sign a peace treaty with Armenia as soon as possible.
TASS First Deputy Director General Mikhail Gusman told Azerbaijani media on the fringes of the Second Shusha Global Media Forum on the topic of "Exposing False Narratives: Fighting Disinformation," Caliber.Az reports via local media outlets.
"It is hoped that Armenia would also respond with the same steps. But the Armenian prime minister's refusal to meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in London is not a well-thought-out and not very promising position," Gusman remarked.
Regarding the forum, Gusman highlighted its significance and traditions. "First, the event has its own traditions. Second, there are not many such important events in the world today that attract the attention of journalists around the world. It was here, in Shusha, that journalists from 50 countries arrived. Therefore, I would like to thank the organizers of the event, which is taking place in liberated Shusha, a city that is famous for its cultural and historical traditions," he said.
