Azerbaijan soars in passenger car production

In January 2024 Azerbaijan produced 406 passenger cars, 211 units or 2.1 times higher than in the corresponding month of 2023.

Citing the State Statistics Committee, Report said that as of February 1, the country had built stocks of finished products amounting to 266 units.

Azerbaijan produced machinery and equipment, other vehicles, cars, trailers and semitrailers worth $29.4 million in total. Compared to January-March, the production of machinery and equipment remained at the same level. The production of cars, trailers and semi-trailers increased by 54.1 per cent, and the production of other vehicles decreased by 66.5 per cent.

Last month, 49 tractors were produced in Azerbaijan, which is 51.5 per cent less than in January 2023. This meant that on February 1 the country had 10 units of finished products stored.

In the period under review, Azerbaijan produced 63 units of trucks. This is 57.5 per cent more than in January 2023.
