Azerbaijan’s top 10 oil buyers revealed: Over 6 million tonnes exported in three months
Azerbaijan exported the largest volume of oil to Italy in the first quarter of 2025 — 3,055,572.87 tonnes, which is 58.2% more than in the same period of 2024.
In monetary terms, exports to Italy also increased by 38%, amounting to $1,702,838,310, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
The Czech Republic ranked second, having purchased 558,693.27 tonnes of oil (a 3.3-fold increase) worth $304,667,440 (a 3.1-fold increase).
Germany came third, buying 500,001 tonnes of oil (up 42.3%) worth $276,544,770 (up 18.7%).

Overall, according to the SCC, Azerbaijan exported 6,011,561.25 tonnes of oil to 13 countries during the first quarter of 2025 — a 7.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024. However, in value terms, oil exports dropped by 4.4%, totalling $3,336,653,500.
As previously reported, in 2024, Azerbaijan exported 23,596,132.23 tonnes of oil to 25 countries (a 9.4% decline compared to 2023), with a total value of $14,437,355,990 (down 11.1%).
