Azerbaijan Airlines launches direct flights to India’s Ahmedabad
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) is expanding its flight network with the launch of direct flights between Baku and Ahmedabad, one of India's largest and most vibrant cities, starting this summer.
The inaugural flight will take off on July 4, 2025. The Baku-Ahmedabad-Baku route will operate four times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays—offering travelers more flexibility when flying between the two cities, AZAL told Caliber.Az.
Ahmedabad is known for its unique combination of historical charm and modern development. The city’s old quarter showcases a rich cultural and architectural heritage, while the modern parts of Ahmedabad are marked by impressive skyscrapers, bustling shopping centers, and a rapidly developing infrastructure, making it a significant economic hub in India. AZAL currently operates regular flights to other major Indian cities, including Mumbai and New Delhi.
The Baku-Mumbai-Baku route runs four times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays—with daily flights set to commence from June 16, 2025. The Baku-New Delhi route is serviced three times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Passengers can conveniently book their tickets through AZAL’s official website at www.azal.az, the airline’s mobile app, AZAL ticket counters, or through accredited travel agencies.
